Polish firms exported goods worth over PLN 934 billion (EUR 221 bn, USD 246 bn), an increase of over PLN 50 billion compared to the same period the year before, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.

Piotr Bartkiewicz, an economist with mBank, said: "This is an altogether good result, considering the state of the global economy in 2019.”

“After all, we had concerns about how the global economic situation would affect the results of our exporters,” he added.

Poland’s largest export markets last year were Germany, the Czech Republic and Britain.
