Poland launches two new onshore wind farms

Poland launched two new onshore wind farms over the weekend. The project comprises over 40 turbines with a total installed capacity of nearly 100 MW.

The project has substantially increased the wind power capacity of state-run utility giant PGE and strengthened the group’s position as Poland's largest producer of green energy.

“This is another step in ensuring energy security and higher living and health standards for Poles. This new installation increases PGE’s wind power capacity by 20 percent. Our ambition over the next 10 years is to double renewables generation capacity,” PGE CEO Wojciech Dąbrowski said.
