The Polish economy grew 3.7 percent in the third quarter of this year, after expanding 3.3 percent in the second quarter, according to a flash estimate from the country’s statistics office.
In quarter-on-quarter terms, Poland's gross domestic product grew 0.8 percent in the third quarter of 2025, matching the pace from the first half of the year, the Statistics Poland agency reported.
'Tops in Europe': PM
Prime Minister Donald Tusk hailed the data in a social media post, calling the figures proof that the Polish economy was "growing at the fastest rate in years."
He said the 3.7-percent growth rate made Poland "tops in Europe," adding that the result came "despite the extraordinary activity of political saboteurs, both foreign and domestic."
'Fastest growth in three years': finance minister
Finance Minister Andrzej Domański also celebrated the figures, writing on X that "the economy is revving up" and describing the third-quarter reading as "the fastest growth rate in three years."
The Polish statistics office is expected to report full third-quarter data on December 1.
Poland's central bank this month predicted that the Polish economy would expand 3.4 percent this year, followed by 3.7 percent growth in 2026.
The country's 2025 budget expects the economy to grow 3.9 percent this year.
Polish GDP is expected to grow 3.5 percent next year, under the government's 2026 budget approved in late August.
The World Bank last month maintained its forecast for Polish economic growth this year at 3.2 percent.
Tusk in August said Poland was the fastest-growing economy in Europe on a quarter-on-quarter basis.
