The "Barometer of the Polish Labour Market" survey found that while many many respondents were open to earning less, most would do so only under specific conditions.
Forty-six percent said they would accept a pay cut only if it was minimal.
Another 32 percent said they would not consider taking lower pay under any circumstances, while 10 percent were undecided.
Twelve percent said they would be willing to accept lower pay in return for easier responsibilities or better working conditions, state news agency PAP reported.
Willingness to take a pay cut varied by sector. It was highest in retail and e-commerce, where 17 percent of respondents said they would trade pay for easier work or improved conditions.
The figure was 16 percent in transport and logistics, 14 percent in construction, and 12 percent in manufacturing and industry.
The survey was conducted nationwide among 1,090 adults from October 30 to November 3.
