Poland’s military and civilian authorities now have enhanced “eyes in the sky,” following the deployment of five Polish satellites into orbit, the Polish Space Agency (POLSA) reported.
The Polish Space Agency (POLSA) says the deployment of five satellites provides the countrys military and civilian authorities with advanced eyes in the sky, marking a major step forward in Earth observation capabilities.

The satellites are expected to improve how both defence forces and civil institutions monitor the Earth.

The Military University of Technology confirmed that all the satellites - including the military MikroSAR and those from the Polish Imaging Satellites (PIAST) programme - established two-way communication with Earth after being launched last week aboard a Falcon 9 rocket.

The rocket also carried a satellite from the Finnish-Polish company ICEYE, founded by the Polish entrepreneur Rafał Modrzewski.

Earlier launch dates had been delayed several times due to technical issues and adverse weather conditions.

Equipped with radar capable of observing the Earth regardless of weather or time of day, the satellites represent a significant step forward for Poland’s military, government agencies, and the defence sector.
