Astronika will contribute to the ESA–JAXA Ramses mission, planned for launch in 2028 on Japan’s H3 rocket toward asteroid Apophis, which will pass Earth in 2029. The company will deliver some of the world’s smallest radar antennas to enable detailed observations during the flyby.
The firm also has a role in ESA’s ExoMars mission with the Rosalind Franklin rover.
At home, Astronika is developing “deployable load-bearing structures for space applications”—compact spacecraft, rocket and satellite components that unfold in orbit.
It received more than PLN 4.7 million (USD 1.3 million) from the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development under the SMART Pathway, for a project worth over PLN 6.7 million (USD 1.8 million).
Astronika plans foreign expansion, including a US office.
“We want to cooperate with NASA even more than before. We have good experience in this area,” board member Bartosz Kędziora told Puls Biznesu, adding the firm is working on further joint projects.
