The streets of Warsaw will be decorated with ornaments inspired by the 1950s and 1960s, reflecting the retro style and design popular in Poland during that era.

Children can enjoy illuminated carousels and retro decorations, while older generations may spot elements reminiscent of their childhood.

Special decorations will also nod to the classic Polish novel Lalka (The Doll) by Bolesław Prus, which is currently being adapted for film in Warsaw.

Warsaw’s festive season reaches new heights with sky-high Christmas market

In addition to the traditional Christmas markets in the Old Town and at Plac Defilad in front of the Palace of Culture, a Warsaw landmark, visitors can for the first time experience a “sky-high” Christmas market on the 49th floor of Varso Tower, the tallest building in the EU at 200 metres.

Polish Christmas markets are attracting growing numbers of visitors each year, not only from Poland, but also from abroad.
