Polish MEPs called for more action against fake news as the European Parliament on Tuesday discussed the impact of disinformation on the recent European elections.
The European Commission has announced the creation of an international platform to combat fake news that will bring together nearly 40 organisations in a bid to verify facts online in most member countries.
