Tayyab, hailing from Pakistan, was elected as the president of FIH in November of last year, taking over the reins from Narinder Batra.

His maiden visit to Poland is scheduled to span a period of three days, during which he will tour the cities of Poznań and Wałcz. The Polish Hockey Association (PZHT) will accompany Tayyab during his visit to Wałcz, where he will inspect the latest preparations for the highly-anticipated European Women's Hockey5s Championship.

On Sunday, Tayyab will go to Poznań to visit the General Assembly of Delegates of the FIH. The assembly, a discussion platform for key stakeholders in field hockey, recently announced the introduction of Piotr Wilkoński, a Polish national, into the FIH Board of Directors.
