This season’s ski-jumping World Cup circuit will open with an individual competition in Ruka, Finland, on Saturday, followed by another individual event a day later.

In all, the 2023/2024 ski-jumping World Cup features 38 competitions, including 32 individual events, in various countries.

The schedule includes the prestigious Four Hills Tournament in Germany and Austria, the Ski Flying World Championships in Bad Mitterndorf in Austria in late January, the Raw Air event in Norway in March, and the season-ending Ski Flying World Cup Finals in Planica, Slovenia.

The series will come to Poland three times this season: for competitions in Wisła on January 13-14, for an event in Szczyrk on January 17, and for competitions in the southern mountain resort of Zakopane on January 20-21.

Polish ski jumpers finished fourth last World Cup season as a team, behind Austria, Norway and Slovenia.

Meanwhile, Poland's Dawid Kubacki finished fourth in the overall World Cup standings on an individual basis.

Norway’s Halvor Egner Granerud won the Crystal Globe as champion of the 2022/2023 season.
