Champions League: Poland's Marciniak to referee Inter Milan vs. Real Madrid on Tuesday

Poland’s Szymon Marciniak will referee Tuesday's Champions League semifinal second leg between Italian heavyweights Inter Milan and Spanish giants Real Madrid, officials have announced.

The 44-year-old will be assisted by Polish linesmen Tomasz Listkiewicz and Adam Kupsik at San Siro Stadium in Milan on Tuesday night, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.

Meanwhile, Poland's Paweł Raczkowski has been confirmed as the fourth official for the match.

The first leg of the Champions League semifinal between Barcelona and Inter ended in a thrilling 3–3 draw.

Marciniak is regarded as one of the world's top football referees.

In December 2022, he officiated the World Cup final between Argentina and France.

In May 2022, Marciniak refereed the Champions League final between Manchester City and Inter Milan in Istanbul.
