The project is called Shakespeare in the Park, and opens on July 7 with Romeo and Juliette. There will be 15 performances during July in the garden directly in front of the Grand Palace in the city’s Wilanów district. Admission is free.

The shows, including the intermission, last some two hours and 15 minutes on a fully mounted stage with professional lighting and sound.

The actors are a mix of veterans and recent graduates of acting courses.

Klaudiusz Madeja met director John Weisgerber, the man behind the summer meetings with the Bard.
