The broadcaster said on Wednesday that its "New Year's Eve with TVP 2" bash would feature a long lineup of performers led by pop singers Edyta Górniak and Justyna Steczkowska, both of whom have been on the Polish music scene for almost three decades.
Górniak is one of the most popular female singers in the history of Polish pop music. Her singing career took off after she finished runner-up in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994.
Other acts billed include the Golec uOrkiestra folk band and teenage stars Viki Gabor and Sara James, alongside a host of popular homegrown dance music performers such as “Disco Polo King” Zenon Martyniuk.
International acts will include Ukrainian star Dzidzio and German musician Thomas Anders of Modern Talking fame.
TVP executives have said that Zakopane, Poland’s premier mountain and ski resort, is a special place for people to have fun and ring in the new year.
