The festival runs Nov. 20–23 and opens Friday with 31-year-old Dominik Kisiel, followed by Austrian group Owls. U.S. pianist Emmet Cohen, 35, will close the event, program director Prof. Krzysztof Herdzin said.

Saturday begins with a Polish trio led by 35-year-old Łukasz Ojdana and his “Wędrujący Ptak” (“Wandering Bird”) project, described by Herdzin as a personal, spiritual meeting point of Polish and Ukrainian music.

Indonesian-born pianist Joey Alexander, 22, will also perform on Saturday. The evening finishes with bassist Linda May Han Oh and pianist-keyboardist Fabian Almazan; Herdzin called Oh one of the most acclaimed bassists working today.

Sunday opens with the Filip Wojciechowski Quartet. Italy’s Antonio Faraò leads the next trio set, which Herdzin said will showcase top-level technique.

The finale features keyboardist Scott Kinsey in “The Music of Joe Zawinul,” a tribute to the Weather Report co-founder and Kinsey’s mentor, highlighting fusion’s dynamic, multi-layered sound.

Founded in 1974 and rooted in Kalisz’s piano-building tradition, the festival is one of Poland’s oldest jazz events.
