"This recognition by the Recording Academy means a lot—it's the result of years of passion for classical guitar and for sharing the beauty of Slavic music with audiences worldwide," Kowalski wrote in a social media post.

Grgić said: "This project celebrates the shared spirit and musical poetry of the Slavic world, and it's an honor to see it recognized alongside so many outstanding artists and ensembles."

Slavic Sessions features guitar-duet arrangements of works by Chopin, Dvořák and contemporary composers, including Poland's Marek Pasieczny and Bosnia's Miroslav Tadić.

The album was recorded at the Koszalin Philharmonic Hall in northern Poland and released on the US label Red Poppy Records.

Kowalski and Grgić plan a series of promotional concerts in the United States, with performances in Boston on December 3, Newark on December 4, and Philadelphia on December 5.

The 2026 Grammy Awards ceremony will be held in Los Angeles on February 1.

Earlier this year, Kowalski won the 2025 European Bach Guitar Award at a competition in Darmstadt, Germany.
