US experts debate martial law in Poland 40 years on

The Warsaw-based Pilecki Institute research centre has held a debate centred around the martial law period in Poland and the role the country played in the fall of communism in Central and Eastern Europe in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

The online debate on Monday was attended by US experts, who offered their own perspective on those historic events.
