23.05.2023 16:30
Poland was Europe’s second-largest market for solar panels last year, driven by "a rapid uptake of PV micro-installations," according to a study by the Institute of Renewable Energy in Warsaw.

The country moved up to sixth place in Europe in terms of the total installed capacity of solar panels, the institute said in its latest Photovoltaics Market in Poland report.

It added, however, that the nation's obsolete power grid remains an obstacle to further development of photovoltaics (PV).

Radio Poland's Danuta Isler spoke to Grzegorz Wiśniewski, president of the board at the Institute of Renewable Energy, to find out more.
