The Polish Ambassador to the European Union, Andrzej Sadoś, has informed journalists that a new packet of sanctions is being prepared by Brussels against Russia.
The sanctions expand the scope of existing restrictions, blocking the import of Russia gold and the export of chemicals, pharmaceuticals and technology which could be used in the energy sector by Russia (even when those products have other uses.)
Polish inputs have been included, for example concerning possible sanctions for third-party countries which aid Russia in avoiding restrictions.
