Speaking at a conference in Warsaw entitled "Women in the battle for independence," Morawiecki said Poland’s path to freedom should be understood more broadly than just through the prism of uprisings, battles and wars.
“Your life, marked by blood and tears, was the key to today's independence and freedom," he told women at the conference.
Poland regained independence on November 11, 1918, the day World War I ended, after 123 years of foreign rule.
