Dariusz Piontkowski on Tuesday unveiled a report on demand for employees in various sectors of the economy.

He said that the report indicated which skills would be most sought-after in the future.

Deputy Education Minister Marzena Machałek added that the report played an important role in reforms to Poland’s sector-specialised training system, and in adapting it to the needs of the labour market.

Local government authorities will receive increased educational subsidies for schools providing training in trades expected to be in particular demand, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.
