Of the new cases confirmed on Thursday, 274 were in the western province of Wielkopolskie, which is home to the major city of Poznań.
Meanwhile, 238 new infections were reported in the densely populated southern coal-mining region of Silesia.
The central region of Mazowieckie, which includes the national capital Warsaw, had the third-highest number of new infections confirmed by officials on Thursday, at 236.
The latest deaths in Poland’s coronavirus outbreak are 182 people with pre-existing medical conditions and 68 who died directly because of COVID-19, the Polish health ministry said.
On Wednesday, Poland confirmed 329 deaths and 2,344 new coronavirus infections nationwide, compared with 245 deaths and 1,734 fresh cases a day earlier.
On April 8, the country reported its highest daily toll of 954 deaths related to the coronavirus.
On April 1, the Polish health ministry confirmed 35,251 new single-day cases, the most since the pandemic hit the country more than a year ago.
Poland's first case of coronavirus infection was reported on March 4, 2020.
9,713 in hospitals, 97,366 quarantined
The health ministry announced on Thursday morning that 9,713 COVID-19 patients were in hospitals nationwide, 1,309 of them on ventilators, with a further 97,366 people quarantined for possible coronavirus exposure.
Meanwhile, 2,614,020 people have now recovered from COVID-19 throughout the country, including 3,088 over the last 24 hours, the health ministry also said.
