During Poland’s month-long stint at the helm of the UN Security Council, the country will preside over several high-profile meetings focusing on the situation of the civilian population in armed conflicts as well as on aid to children, people with disabilities, women and medics in areas at risk.

Poland will also contribute troops to the UN peacekeeping mission in Lebanon.

Earlier this week Danuta Isler discussed plans and details of events scheduled for August with Ambassador Joanna Wronecka, Poland’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations.
