Poland, Italy friends even in darkest of times: ambassador

Meanwhile, bilateral cooperation has much deeper roots and developed intensively during the previous centuries.

Today both countries are key members of the European Union and NATO.

Two leading think tanks from Poland and Italy on Thursday held a meeting in Warsaw to discuss the milestones of bilateral ties over the last 100 years.

Aldo Amati, the Italian ambassador to Warsaw, said that even in the darkest of times the two countries enjoyed friendly relations.
