Piotr Mueller told public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency that a government crisis management team would meet in Warsaw on Monday morning to discuss possible restrictions in air travel between Poland and Britain.

For now, no decisions have been made and Polish experts are still examining medical data coming from the UK, Mueller said.

Belgium, the Netherlands and Italy have already suspended flights to and from Britain, while Germany and Austria are considering following suit, the IAR news agency reported.

Britain's Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced on Saturday that the new strain had led to spiraling infection numbers in his country.
