Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya forming a transitional Belarusian government

Opposition leader Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya is forming a transitional Belarusian government to oppose Lukaszenko and return democracy and the rule of law to Belarus.

At the end of the the New Belarus Conference in Vilnius, Tsikhanouskaya announced the creation of a "United Transitional Cabinet" to oversee the building of a "democratic future."

Today, the New Belarus Conference finished as we announced our new United Transitional Cabinet. We have made an important step together, but now we need to continue to work hard & persistently for Belarus. Tsikhanouskaya has been twice nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for her peaceful challenges to the regime of Alexander Lukashenko. Since August 2020 she has been working in exile in Poland.
