Thomas Cook, one of the world's oldest travel firms, declared bankruptcy on Monday, leaving an estimated 500,000 tourists stranded around the globe. Several subsidiary companies have also stopped trading.
According to the Polish foreign ministry, no Polish residents are known to have been affected by the collapse.
In a statement released on Monday, Neckermann Polska said: “Our company, which under Polish law is a separate entity from Thomas Cook, continues to conduct normal, scheduled operations.
“All Polish customers of Neckermann, both those who are already abroad as well as those who have not yet begun their travels, will be able to carry out their holiday plans as expected.”
The company added that it was in a stable financial condition and not experiencing problems with paying creditors.
Neckermann became part of Thomas Cook in 2011.
