E-exporting is the practice of receiving and processing orders online from customers in foreign countries.
Only about 4 percent of Polish companies sell products and services online to other countries, while the EU average is 7 percent, according to the report by consulting company PwC commissioned by the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology.
The report found that eliminating barriers which entrepreneurs say are hampering e-exports could in the long run increase the number of Polish companies selling online to foreign customers to 16 percent.
This could see the value of Polish e-exports rocket to about PLN 110 billion (USD 27.5bn, EUR 25bn), the report added.
