Polish retail sales up in September: stats office

Retail sales in Poland rose 4.3 percent in September at constant prices compared with the same month last year, the country’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) said on Monday.

In terms of current prices, retail sales last month were 5.3 percent higher than in September last year.

Analysts had expected a steeper rise, state news agency PAP reported.

In August, retail sales rose 4.4 percent at constant prices year on year and 6 percent in terms of current prices.
