In total, 51 percent of Poles are unhappy with rising prices for products and services, according to the survey for BIG InfoMonitor, a firm that collects data about debt.

Inflation in Poland hit 4.4 percent in January in year-on-year terms, the country’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) said on Friday.

Meanwhile, the study for BIG InfoMonitor found that 35 percent of Poles were frustrated that their income was too low, and 31 percent were worried at the prospect of having a low old-age pension.

Nearly a quarter – 24 percent – were frustrated about “negative information transmitted in the media,” state news agency PAP reported.

Almost as many – 23 percent – complained of poor health. And one in five complained about the cost of medical treatment and drugs.

The survey was carried out by the Quality Watch company in December, asking a representative sample of 1,017 adults for their views.
