Polish energy giant aims for climate neutrality

The Polish Energy Group (PGE), the country’s largest energy company, has announced it will invest heavily in offshore and onshore wind, and that it aims to become carbon neutral by 2050.

“Our target by 2030 is 85 percent less CO2 emissions and the share of renewable energy in our portfolio increased to 50 percent. By 2050 we are targeting zero net CO2 emissions and 100 percent green energy offered to our customers,” PGE CEO Wojciech Dąbrowski said.
