But most companies have not reimbursed staff for such costs, according to the survey by the Personnel Service employment agency.

Poland does not have clear regulations about expenses run up by employees associated with remote working, the agency said.

As a result, staff do not know whether they can ask their company to cover part of their expenditures.

The Personnel Service survey was carried out between November 20 and 23, asking 1,049 people about the costs involved in home working.

Poland on Tuesday reported 4,604 new coronavirus infections and 264 more deaths, bringing its total number of cases to 1,482,722 and fatalities to 35,665.
