While the rapid increase is an encouraging sign, the figure is still down by 49 percent compared to the pre-pandemic level seen in June 2019.

The number of flight operations at all Polish airports in June amounted to 21,028, compared to 6,741 in the same month last year.

In June 2019 alone, the figure stood at 40,958, according to data released by the Agency.

Warsaw Chopin Airport, Poland's busiest one, recorded a 234-percent year-on-year increase in flight operations in June 2021, but a 52-percent decrease compared to the same month in 2019.
