The Trako trade fair is expected to be attended by 500 exhibitors from 25 countries, aiming to present the state of the art in transport systems and railway infrastructure.

These will mainly be producers of rolling stock, railroad network components, and other railway equipment.

One of the exhibitors will be Poland’s state-owned rail company PKP Intercity. It will showcase some of its new electric trains that will become part of the carrier's fleet in the coming months.

One of the novelties at the fair will be a hydrogen-powered shunting locomotive produced by the Polish PESA company from the north-central city of Bydgoszcz.

The fair will also feature the world's first hydrogen train produced by French multinational Alstom.

One of the sponsors of the Trako fair is the Polish Ministry of Infrastructure.

The fair, which takes place every two years, runs until September 24.
