According to analysts of the the Polish Economic Institute (PIE), "in the 10 largest [Polish ed.] cities, compared to last year, the price of one square metre of a flat increased on average by 19 percent in the primary market and by 17 percent in the secondary market."
The sharpest increase in housing prices was seen in the northeastern city of Białystok, between the first quarter of 2021 and 2022, where the price of a flat soared by 32 percent on average.
In the northwestern city of Szczecin, prices went up by 28 percent, finds the report by the PIE think-tank. Meanwhile, in the capital, Warsaw, prices increased by 5 percent.
