The Polish man saw his sentence raised to seven years from an original five, IAR reported, citing the AFP news agency.
According to an earlier report, the man was detained and charged in August last year after meeting suspected rebels in Indonesia’s Papua province.
He was later convicted, but has denied any wrongdoing.
The Indonesian Supreme Court this week rejected an appeal by the Pole and increased his jail term at the same time, the IAR news agency reported.
