Holocaust survivors have borne witness to the horrors of Auschwitz-Birkenau during events in Poland to mark 75 years since the liberation of the Nazi German death camp.

Some 200 former prisoners from around the world took part in observances of the anniversary in the southern Polish town of Oświęcim on International Holocaust Remembrance Day on Monday.

They have traveled from across Europe as well as countries as far flung as the United States, Australia and Peru to offer their testimonies...
