New rules came into force in Poland on Thursday requiring people to cover their face in public.

On Wednesday, the official website of the Polish president published a video demonstrating how to make a disposable face mask at home using a sheet of paper, two rubber bands and a stapler.

The mask was designed by Anna Myczkowska-Szczerska of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków.

A total of 7,771 people have tested positive for the COVID-19 disease in Poland, with 292 deaths from the coronavirus so far, officials said on Thursday morning.
