88 percent of respondents took a positive view of the government’s measures to support Ukraine, with just 12 percent expressing disapproval, the state PAP news agency reported on Tuesday.

The poll was conducted by the Pollster research institute for the Super Express daily newspaper.

Super Express noted that Poles have rushed to help their eastern neighbours following Russia’s brutal assault on Ukraine.

“We look on with pride as relief shipments head from Poland to Kyiv,” the paper added.

“Providing aid for the war-stricken country also helps the United Right government rebuild its support,” Super Express wrote.

The survey was carried out on March 2 and 3, on a sample of 1,041 Polish adults, PAP reported.

Poland has admitted nearly 1.1 million refugees fleeing Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the Polish Border Guard agency reported on Monday.
