Apparel products seized from smugglers will be handed over to the Ukrainian authorities and then distributed to those in need, according to the website.

The clothing items to be given to Ukrainians are worth some PLN 2.3 million (around EUR 0.5 million), InnPoland reported.

Polish customs officers have been working night and day to load 200 pallets with brand new clothes, underwear, bed linen, as well as warm winter shoes which one can find to be of great use as the temperatures in Ukraine oscillate around 0 degrees Celsius (32 Fahrenheit).
In line with the standard procedure, the customs office first tries to sell the seized goods and, if no one is willing to buy them, throws them away. Handing the clothes over to Ukrainians is a simple and effective way to extend help to the war-stricken, the website reported.
Wednesday is day fourteen of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which began on February 24.
