The protest was held under the motto: “Russia’s day of freedom from Putinism,” Polish state news agency PAP reported.

Chanting “Russia without Putin” and “Solidarity is our strength,” dozens of demonstrators marched peacefully from Warsaw’s Constitution Square to the Russian embassy.

They carried placards emblazoned with such slogans as “No to war,” “Putler kaput” and “Free Russia,” as well as white-blue-white flags of Free Russia.

A group of Poles, Ukrainians and Belarusians also joined the protest.

The march stopped at the Ukrainian embassy to sing the war-torn country’s national anthem.

Call for an end to Russian invasion of Ukraine

After reaching the Russian embassy, protesters made speeches about the need for solidarity among eastern European nations affected by Putin and Belarusian strongman leader Alexander Lukashenko.

The crowd called for a democratisation of Russia and for the Kremlin to end its aggression against Ukraine.

Demonstrators also addressed the Russian ambassador to Poland, chanting: “Andreev, you will go to prison,” the PAP news agency reported.

The protest came as the Russian invasion of Ukraine continued for the 109th day.
