In response to criticism that the popular mountain destination Zakopane is being overrun with billboard advertising, the Zakopane city council is holding consultations on a draft resolution to better regulate the ads.
A similar resolution has already been introduced into the city of Kraków, another popular destination for travellers.
The balance of economic interests and preservation of local beautiful views has been an issue in Poland for many years, especially concerning advertising that blocks mountain views.
