The Polish facility was honoured in two categories: best leisure architecture and best public service architecture.

Opened last year, the Orientarium is a modern complex which presents the fauna and flora of South-East Asia.

With a total area of some 7.5 hectares, it features several spacious pavilions, aviaries and enclosures, an underwater shark tunnel, as well as a tropical jungle.

The Orientarium is home to an impressive 35 species of land animals, including Europe’s biggest Indian elephant, and 180 species of fish.
