America’s Taylor stays on as Poland basketball coach

American Mike Taylor will stay on as head coach of the Polish men's national basketball team for another two years, sports officials have announced.

The announcement comes after the Polish team won the hearts of many fans by reaching the quarterfinals of the Basketball World Cup in China in September.

Taylor became Poland coach in January 2014 to replace German Dirk Bauermann.

He told Polish Radio's Klaudiusz Madeja he was excited and ready for new challenges with the Polish team.
