Kubot and Melo on Wednesday dispatched Hungary’s Attila Balázs and Brazil’s Fernando Romboli 6-3, 7-5.
The Polish-Brazilian pair were on Friday evening set to take on Italian duo Federico Gaio and Salvatore Caruso.
Kubot and Melo were in 2017 named the men’s doubles team of the year by the International Tennis Federation (ITF).
