The striker’s broken tibia bone means Lewandowski may not play in two upcoming international friendlies, public broadcaster Polish radio reported.

Poland are set to take on Finland on March 27, and Ukraine four days later. The Poles will be playing both matches at home.

Bayern Munich said on its website: “After 10 days of immobilisation in a cast, he [Lewandowski ] will start rehab. The striker will be out for around four weeks.”

The Polish star was injured during Bayern’s Champions League game against Chelsea in London on Tuesday.

Bayern won 3-0, with Lewandowski scoring the third goal.
