The Warsaw club, managed by former Serbian midfielder Aleksandar Vuković, on Saturday beat Cracovia Kraków 2-0 in a home fixture to secure its 14th Polish Ekstraklasa championship.
Two rounds of matches are still left to play before the Polish premier league season ends later this month.
“I congratulated the boys because they played up to what was expected of them,” Vuković said after Saturday's game.
“It's a well-deserved championship,” he added.

Last year, Legia Warsaw finished runner-up in the Polish premier league, while small-budget side Piast Gliwice, managed by ex-Poland boss Waldemar Fornalik, captured their maiden title.
