As Polish Radio's sports section reports, there's a good mood among Poland's national football squad which has gathered for team training sessions in the Baltic city of Gdańsk before their first match at the Euro 2020 championships against Slovakia in St.Petersburg this Monday.

Defender Maciej Rybus told Polish Radio: "Slovakia are an experienced team, they have a dangerous counter attack, they can be high pressing and transport the ball fast towards the goal area, so this will be a tough match, as it is always with the first matches, because of that unknown factor. But I do hope things will go well, we can score and control the match".

The Poles will next take on Spain in Seville on Saturday, June 19, at 9pm. They will then play Sweden four days later.
