Sarah Sjöström of Sweden won the event on Wednesday, with a time of 23.12, while Wasick touched in at 23.49, ahead of Russia's third-placed Maria Kameneva.
Wasick's silver was her second medal of the competition in Kazan, after a bronze she earned a day earlier in the 4x50 m freestyle relay together with teammates Kornelia Fiedkiewicz, Dominika Sztandera and Alicja Tchórz.
The 2021 European Short Course Swimming Championships run until Sunday, November 7.
