Swimming: Poland’s Majerski wins butterfly bronze in Rome

Poland’s Jakub Majerski has taken the bronze in the men’s 100 metres butterfly at the European swimming championships in Rome.

Hungary’s Kristof Milak won the event on Sunday, with a time of 50.33, while Noè Ponti of Switzerland finished second with 50.87.

Poland’s Majerski touched in at 51.22.

His third-place finish marked the first medal for Poland at the 2022 European Aquatics Championships, which began in Rome last Thursday and run until August 21.
