The National Tennis Day’s tournaments will be played simultaneously in 14 cities: Bytom, Gdańsk, Kalisz, Kraków, Lodz, Olsztyn, Poznań, Puławy, Stalowa Wola, Szczecin, Toruń, Warszawa, Wrocław and Zielona Góra.

The main event associated with the National Tennis Day will be the “Tennis Talentiada,” which consists of tournaments for children up to the age of 10. In addition, there will be amateur doubles tournaments and tennis demonstrations on the beach. Famous Polish tennis players will participate in the event.

“We are always happy to support such initiatives as players, and I as the coach of the national team as well. Each of the former players, current and future ones, had contact with the racket for the first time thanks to events like this,” said the captain of the Polish team in Davis Cup Mariusz Fyrstenberg.

The event will also feature current Polish singles champion Daniel Michalski.

“This is a great initiative, I am very happy to participate in it. When I was a child myself, I would have given a lot, as would my peers, to play a couple of balls at the age of eight or ten with someone who is ranked in the ATP or WTA rankings,” Michalski said.

The National Tennis Day has been hosted at the National Stadium in Warsaw twice, and for the past three years it has been held in various cities in Poland.

Organized by the Polish Tennis Association, National Tennis Day is co-financed by the Ministry of Sport and Tourism. The main partners of the event are LOTTO and KINDER Joy of moving.
